A wonderfully drinkable interpretation of a classic English ale. Bookbinder is a blend of four malts combined with two classic Nelson grown European hops (Fuggles and Riwaka). The beer pours an attractive reddish brown, with a cream coloured head. Bookbinder has a sweet, perfumey, malt and hop aroma with a soft, malty, fruit and vinous palate that is both full flavoured and refreshing with a long, gently drying finish.

Even the King of the Underworld needs a best friend. For Hades, that was Cerberus, his three headed doggo. While his extra heads made him a triply good guard dog, he did chew through a lot of sandals. This West Coast IPA is Emerson's triple dry hopped tribute to the hound of Hades. They've used four different breeds of hop, Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe and Mosaic, to create this boisterous mutt, with a fruit salad bomb of flavour. At 6.7% you might want to share it with at least one other head.

The adventure doesn't have to end when you get home. Day Tripper is a low carb beer that's as intrepid as you are. Brewed with a combination of hop pellets and hop oil, for better mouthfeel, balance, fruitiness, and complexity. It's more than just a post-activity refresher, it's a flavour journey all of its own - from tangelo base camp, all the way to a crisp, stone fruit finish line. Enjoy the trip.

30 years of The Country radio show, means three decades of Jamie Mackay's dulcet tones filling our airwaves. He sure can talk. But Raymond Bowan and Richard Emerson came up with a plan. Farmers Cut extra thick cut chips, paired with Farmer Pour Extra Crispy Pale Ale. It's the Perfect farmers combo to celebrate a real farming legend. Best of all, it should keep Jamie quiet, for at a moment, at least.

A hallucinatory, mind-bending, consciousness-expanding, dream-like experience is not what you'll find in this can. It's just a beer, man. Dry hopped using New Zealand and USA hops for a super-fresh, super vibrant aroma, with a super-crisp, super-quenching finish.

Porter is the oldest commercially brewed style and London Porter was Emerson's first beer. Dark, dry and mellow with some hoppy characteristics, pours a deep brown colour with reddish tints.

The Orange Roughy's scientific name is Hoplostethus atlanticus. Which roughly translates as, hazy, hoppy pale ale with a tropical fruit aroma, citrus flavour, and malty backbone. In the past, the roughy has been subject to unsustainable practices - completely selling out. Thanks to the hard work of our brewers, numbers are now on the rise. Careful you don't exceed your quota, though.

The 2024 Bird of the Year is now also the Bird with a Beer. Emerson's love their Hoiho there in Dunedin and they are proud to have played a part in turning its yellow eyes gold, for the second time. People's Penguin is easy drinking, with vibrant notes of stone fruit, and a biscuity malt backbone. It features local Garston Rakau hops, and Riwaka Amplifire hop oil from Clayton. Enjoy the sweet taste of victory.

As a young man, Richard Emerson was a huge fan of the Dunedin Sound. Being deaf, he couldn't hear the music, but he could feel it. This beer is a tribute to The Sound, made with NZ hops for a bold local flavour, that will reverberate around your taste buds.

This Pacific Pilsner has been dry-hopped with NZ and US hops to make it super-tasty, while it's light body and crisp finish make it super-refreshing. At just 4% ABV, and 40% lower in carbs, you can feel slightly-smug, too.
